By activating automatic synchronization with Google Drive, you have two important benefits:
1. If you have several Android devices, or you want to share passwords with your family, you can do it easily by activating sync with Google Drive using the same account on all devices.
2. Sync lets you always have a backup file with all of your passwords in Google Drive or Dropbox.
Remember to always grant permissions when required, otherwise this and many other operations will not work.
Password Cloud is an app that uses a 256-bit encryption method, probably do not know what it means, but it is the latest technology in computer security, which is also used at military level.
All your passwords will be stored in a Password_Cloud.db file. As explained above, this file is encrypted and it is impossible to cracking it.
If a malicious person is in possession of your phone and will try to enter the primary password to display your data, Password Cloud allows some unlocking attempts, after which all passwords will be completely deleted.
You can set the number of unlock attempts easily by using the app settings.
All! Some examples of what Password Cloud is doing.
You can store credit card details, user names and passwords of websites, secret codes (eg home alarms), secret contacts, secret pictures, etc. In short, everything that remains secret for you, you can store it in Password Cloud.
If the app is open and your device's screen turns off, or if you click the HOME button, when you re-open Password Cloud, it will ask you again the master password.
Open Password Cloud and go to the settings, then click Export data to your device. Password Cloud, created a file with the name Password_Cloud.db, it's located in the root of the device. That encrypted file, contains all your passwords.
Now, copy that file to the root of the other device, open Password Cloud and click the Settings button, then click Restore data from the device.
Remember to always grant permissions when required, otherwise this and many other operations will not work.
To maintain a very high level of security, it is not possible to restore the master password.
If you enable this feature, the application creates encrypted files with your passwords in the Password Cloud/Auto Backup folder.
You can transfer those files to your PC or to an USB drive. Then you can restore your passwords by selecting one of those files, by the app settings and clicking Import passwords from the device
To back up your data manually, simply go to Settings, Backup and Restore, Export the data to your device. The application creates an encrypted file with the name Password_Cloud.db, inside the phone. Warning: when requested, accept the permissions, otherwise the backup will not be performed.
To restore the data manually, after the backup is created, just go to Settings, Backup and Restore, Import the passwords from the device. At that point select the Password_Cloud file, the data will be imported into the application.
To restore data from the Cloud (make sure you have enabled synchronization previously), when you first start the app, select the item Restoring data from the Cloud. If the file is present in Google Drive, the application will download it and import it.
